BoutaBoat is a peer-to-peer marketplace for private boat owners. This policy explains who can sell here, how we keep dealers out, and how you can help.
Private individuals only
BoutaBoat is for private individuals selling their own boat. Dealers, brokers, and resellers are not permitted to list on the platform.
The private-seller attestation
Every listing requires the seller to check a box attesting that they are the private owner of the boat — not a dealer or broker. This attestation is required to publish a listing and is part of our commitment to a dealer-free marketplace.
Reporting a suspected dealer
Spot a listing that looks like a dealer or broker? Open the listing, tap "Report this listing," and choose "Looks like a dealer/broker." Our moderators review every report.
Enforcement
BoutaBoat may remove listings and suspend or ban accounts that violate this policy. Repeat or egregious violations may result in permanent removal from the platform.
